Software Title: JLog
Software Description:
JLog is affordable petrophysical software that evaluates unconventional and conventional reservoirs and estimates oil and gas in place volumes. JLog has been shipped to individuals and companies in 30 countries since 2000. Easy to use and install with a simple menu interface that remains the same for each optional update. JLog imports LAS and TEXT files. Graphics are saved in several file formats while answers are saved in TEXT and LAS for export.  JLog evaluates source rock (TOC and S1 & S2 BBL OIL), gas shale, clastic, coal and carbonate reservoirs.  Log quality, lithology and source rock can be identified from a wide variety of cross plots with vendor and log specific overlays.  Interactive Pickett and Rxo-Rt plots quickly estimate Rw, Rmf, Sw and Sxo.  Up to 4 filters can be applied to these cross plots and histograms to view critical data patterns.  Users can shade above/below and between log and calculated curve values such as Rwa, TOC and S1 with any of 10 colors and add a short legend to emphasize important points.  Various porosity and Sw models are available to estimate hydrocarbon reserves from a summation of level-by-level calculations utilizing user-defined cutoffs. Mechanical properties such as Poisson’s ratio and Young’s modulus can be calculated from appropriate logs. View www.jlog.biz to see JLog graphics and answers. Updated August 4, 2021.
